While these content strategies lay the foundation for marketing success, you still need to turn viewers into customers. Here’s how to do just that.

Shift From Giving Information to Promoting Products

A solid content marketing strategy should focus more on building trust and adding value than pushing sales. At a certain point, though, you need to gently shift gears and promote your actual products and services. Without coming across as too pushy or spammy, explain to viewers why your company is best placed to help them solve their problems.

Include Links to Product Pages

If you’re going to use online content for marketing purposes, then you should include plenty of links to your product pages. After all, you can’t get a click-through if you don’t even have a link. Just be sure not to overdo it. An excessive amount of links will make consumers wary of your intentions.

Use Customer Testimonials

You can praise your own products until you’re blue in the face, but it still won’t be as effective as letting clients speak for themselves. Quote positive reviews in your written materials, and base some of your videos around customer testimonials. Hearing real customers praise your company will have a significant effect on viewers.

Include a Call to Action

If you never include a call to action in your content, then it’s little wonder that you’re not turning viewers into customers. If you want viewers or readers to take a certain course of action, then it’s on you to steer them in the right direction. Obnoxious and pushy calls to action can certainly be a turn-off, but when properly done they’re an essential component of a successful marketing campaign.
