How to Turn Your Company Car into a Marketing Vehicle

Posted on March 8, 2017 by Aaron

If you have assigned your personal car to also serve as your company vehicle, you are effectively behind the wheel of what could be a powerful weapon in your marketing arsenal.

Drivers and pedestrians are constantly exposed to branded vehicles. You are more than likely familiar with the Budweiser and FedEx trucks or with the cars used by Domino’s Pizza delivery drivers because of the branding on those vehicles. Budweiser, FedEx and Domino’s are major brands, but this marketing technique is also available to owners of small and medium business owners.

Here are some things you should know about turning your company car into a marketing vehicle for your business.

  • Bumper Stickers

This one of the most affordable methods of branding your company vehicle, and it can be very effective when the car is out on the road. American drivers tend to be attracted to bumper stickers because they tend to capture their line of sight. You can also affix bumper stickers to your personal vehicle and give them out to your clients, friends, and relatives.

  • Screen Printing is Your Friend

You have a few choices in terms of applying your company branding to your car; you can opt for wrapping the entire body of the vehicle or focus on specific parts such as defroster stripes and windshield lines. Modern screen printing techniques from places like Schilling Graphics present high-resolution and colorful graphics that are created in such a way that their application does not distract company drivers or obstruct their vision. Another advantage of screen printing is its reasonable pricing.

  • Call-to-Action Branding

When it comes to using company vehicles for marketing purposes, the branding message does not have to be static. With a proper call-to-action message, your company car can attract leads and prospective customers. An effective strategy in this regard is to display the company’s social media channels and invite drivers and pedestrians to follow the brand. Another idea is to display a QR code that can be scanned with smartphones to drive traffic to a website or to visit a social media page.

  • Green Marketing Ideas

If your business has something to do with environmental conservation, you should think about adding a hybrid or electric branded vehicle to your company fleet; the idea is to show your clients that your business is indeed a green business, but you will also save on fueling costs and may even get a significant tax credit for choosing an eco-friendly vehicle.

In the end, turning your company car into a marketing vehicle may be one of the smartest branding decisions you can make for your business, and the cost of getting started tends to be very affordable.

Cars are extremely useful vehicles with a lot of possibilities. And if you have the right methods of use and navigation, car cars bring you a lot of economic benefits.

Thank you for pointing out that if you use your personal vehicle as your work vehicle, you can use it as a marketing tool by having your company branding added as a wrap around the entire car. My dad was thinking about starting a business after he retires. It’s good to know that he can use his vehicle as a marketing agent if he decides to move forward with that endeavor.

I agree if you do a lot of miles, using your car to increase brand awareness is great. I have a branded car wrap around my electric car, promoting my business i’ve found it very beneficial and often a great conversation starter.

I believe that wrapping your car with a strong promotion makes a lot of sense for brand awareness.
