Six Jobs That Pay Well And Make The World A Better Place

These days, many people are thinking about which vocational path they should take. 1. Pharmacist

Pharmacists are individuals who dispense medications to patients while also offering advice and counsel regarding how to use the prescriptions safely. Some pharmacists also conduct health screenings and provide immunizations. Pharmacists make roughly $121,500 annually. To work in this sector, you will need to attain a doctor of pharmacy and pass two exams to obtain licensure.

2. Certified Nurse Midwife

The certified nurse midwife diagnoses and coordinates all components of the birthing process. This individual can operate with a healthcare team or independently. To hold this job title, you must obtain a BS or BA from an accredited university and obtain a license as a registered nurse. You will also need to pass the National Council Licensure Exam for Registered Nurses (NCLEX) and the Graduate Record Examination (GRE). When you complete the requirements, you will need to take the AMCB exam. Individuals who work as certified nurse midwives earn roughly $93,000 annually.

3. Surgeons

Surgeons are individuals who diagnose and treat illnesses and injuries. Some of their job duties include treating injuries like broken bones and deformities such as a cleft palate. They can also treat diseases, one of which would be a cancerous tumor. Surgeons earn about $187,200 annually. Surgeons will need to complete 4 years of undergraduate work and follow up with 4 years of medical school. Depending on their area of specialty, they will need to complete 3 to 7 years in a residency program or internship.

4. Workplace Health And Safety Officer

Individuals who hold this title are responsible for analyzing several types of work procedures and work environments. They analyze workplace settings to ensure adherence to policies and procedures pertaining to the environment, health, and safety. They also create programs to prevent injury or disease in the workplace setting. As noted in this Central College Online infographic, salaries for this career begin at $40,138. They can increase based on the level of responsibility and experience. An example would be the health and safety manager. Individuals who hold this title can earn as much as $230,000. Also, note that this occupation has become increasingly popular in Australia as several thousand jobs will become available by 2019.

5. Veterinarian

Veterinarians are individuals who optimize the health of animals. This includes providing services that enhance the animals mental and physical wellbeing. Veterinarians can diagnose and treat livestock, pets, and various other types of animals. They earn about $88,000 a year. To become a veterinarian, you will need to obtain a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree as well as a state license.

6. Psychiatrists

Individuals seeking a well-paying job should know that the median income for this vocation is $186,000. The primary role of the psychiatrist is to diagnose, treat, and prevent mental disorders. Psychiatrists are authorized to prescribe and/or administer psychotherapeutic medications or treatments to treat behavioral, emotional, and mental disorders. The steps to becoming a psychiatrist include earning a bachelor’s degree, pursuing a medical degree, completing a residency, obtaining a license, and becoming board certified.

    Been a surgeon implies many sacrifices, more than I can count, but the feeling one gets from a patient whose live has been improved by the knowledge acquired after so many years in the field is priceless.

    All of these careers are rewarding! The medicinal services field is particularly remunerating both monetarily and in positive commitment to mankind.
