Must-Know Interview Questions and Answers for Big Companies

Posted on July 4, 2018 by Aaron

One of the most stressful situations is attending to a job interview. When someone is applying for a dream job in a big company, they are likely to be even more nervous. This is the moment when the interviewer should try to make them more comfortable so as to really get to find out their skills and capabilities.

Before starting any interview, even if you have a great carrier, you can always search the most famous interview questions for more variety. Times are changing and so do people, that is why each interviewer must challenge candidates, in order to obtain more information about them. For more help, visit this website and learn about numerous big companies’ sets of interview questions. Hence, you will know what questions to use according to the available post and its requirements. Be as open as you can with the interviewee and catch his or her attention.

  1. Why Should We Hire You?

This is a tricky question since there is no right answer for it. When using it, as an interviewer, you want to know what previous work experience the interviewee had and what responsibilities did he receive at the last job. If the candidate is at his first interview, try to find out what skills he managed to develop during school or other professional projects. Don’t get too personal and give them the time they need.

  1. What Are Your Goals?

A question like this makes the interviewee wonder about the future. One of the reason to asking this one is to find if their goals match the company goals. Also, you’ll get to know if the candidate wants a serious job or not. Let them talk about their long-term goals and immediate goals and what steps they need to take to accomplish them. Furthermore, if their goals are approachable it means that they’re realistic and taking decisions in a rational way is one of their skills.

  1. What Are Your Weaknesses?

This is one of the most popular questions that most people do not know how to answer. Most interviewers choose it to see if the candidate is honest. It is important for them to state their weaknesses regarding the work place. If you find someone that is getting into details of their personal life, remind them that the personal life and the professional life are two different paths and he should not mix them.

  1. Why Do You Think You Are More Suitable for This Job than Other Candidates?

Here you need to find out why the candidate thinks he or she is unique and what characteristics helped him or her to be a better employee. Make sure that he states relevant things for the applied position. This question will help you differentiate the candidates. The ones that have more self-esteem will be more appropriate for the job.

  1. What Salary Are You Seeking?

When interviewers ask this question they usually want to see how the candidate evaluates himself and what salaries he had before. Also, it is meant to see if the rates of the company match with the standards of the company. If you don’t have a fixed salary it would be good for the both parts to negotiate.

  1. If You Were a Color, What Would You Choose?

Even if this question may sound crazy, it was not made to scare or to confuse candidates. This is a psychological question, meant to test the creativity and see whether the interviewee can think quickly. Therefore, you should learn the meanings of colors if you will ask the interviewee this question. For example, red means that he or she is passionate.

  1. Tell Me About Yourself

Everyone is worried about this question since most people do not know exactly on what to focus. If you see that the candidate gets confused when asking this question, give him or her some hints. Your interests are to know what hobbies or what educational background the interviewee has.

The must-know interview questions and answers for a big company interview fit into one of the categories mentioned above. Of course, each interviewer can personalize the questions as he or she pleases, but he has to make sure to stay within some fine lines, in order to find out the right information of interest. As an interviewer, you can guide the meeting with the interviewee as you wish, but make sure to extract the best ideas.
