MO - Missouri Human Resource Labor Laws

Below is a list of employment laws we monitor and provide for Missouri.

Example law for this state:

Health Insurance Continuation

Health insurance continuation for employees not covered by federal COBRA regulations include: 1. A terminated employee may continue coverage under a group policy for up to nine months. 2. The employee is required to pay the premium applicable to the group. 3. Continuation is available only to those who were continuously insured under the group policy for the immediately preceding three months and those not eligible for Medicare or a similar group plan. 4. Continuation need not include dental, vision care, or prescription drug benefits. 5. Surviving and divorced spouses may also continue coverage. Employees are entitled to convert to an individual policy unless they fail to make timely payment of any required contribution, they were not covered for the previous three months, or the group policy was terminated and replaced with similar coverage.
